Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 April 2026
This privacy policy describes how Marlowe & Moss (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information in connection with this website (marloweandmossart.com) and the Marlowe & Moss Hub application that integrates with the Pinterest API.
Marlowe & Moss is a sole trader operating from the United Kingdom and selling watercolour pet portraits through Etsy at etsy.com/shop/MarloweMoss. We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. About this website
This website is a static informational page. It does not collect, store, or process any personal information from visitors. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or any other tracking technologies. Visiting this website does not require you to provide any personal information.
2. About the Marlowe & Moss Hub application
The Marlowe & Moss Hub is an internal application used by Marlowe & Moss to manage marketing content for our own Etsy shop. The application integrates with the Pinterest API for the following purposes:
- Creating and scheduling pins on Pinterest boards owned by Marlowe & Moss
- Reading analytics data (impressions, saves, outbound clicks) for those pins
- Managing Pinterest boards owned by Marlowe & Moss
The application only ever interacts with the single Pinterest account that we own and operate. It does not access, read, or write data belonging to any other Pinterest user. The application is not made available to third parties and has no public-facing features.
3. Information processed by the application
The application processes the following data, all of which relates only to our own Pinterest account:
- OAuth access tokens issued by Pinterest, used to authenticate API requests
- Pin metadata we author ourselves (titles, descriptions, image files, destination URLs, scheduling times)
- Aggregated analytics returned by Pinterest about pins we have published (impression counts, save counts, click counts)
- Pinterest board identifiers belonging to our own account
The application does not process personal information about Pinterest users, customers, or website visitors. It does not collect data about who views, saves, or clicks on our pins beyond the aggregated counts that Pinterest itself provides.
4. Where data is stored
Application data is stored on infrastructure operated by Marlowe & Moss within the United Kingdom. Pinterest API tokens are stored encrypted at rest. The application does not transfer personal data outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, except where Pinterest itself processes data as part of providing its API service (see Pinterest’s own privacy policy for details of their processing).
5. Customer information from Etsy orders
When customers place orders through our Etsy shop, we receive limited information from Etsy that we need to fulfil the order — typically a buyer’s display name, the personalisation details they have submitted, and an email address used by Etsy’s messaging system. We use this information solely to deliver the digital product the customer has purchased.
Customer information from Etsy orders is not shared with Pinterest, used in the Marlowe & Moss Hub application, or processed for marketing purposes without the customer’s explicit consent.
6. Data retention
We retain Pinterest API tokens for as long as the integration remains active. We retain pin metadata indefinitely as part of our marketing records. Etsy order information is retained for as long as required by HMRC for tax and accounting purposes (currently six years from the end of the relevant tax year).
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
If you believe we hold personal information about you, you have the right to:
- Request access to that information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request erasure of your information, subject to our legal obligations
- Object to or restrict the processing of your information
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below.
8. Pinterest non-affiliation
The Marlowe & Moss Hub application is independently developed and operated by Marlowe & Moss. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc. The application uses the Pinterest API in accordance with Pinterest’s Developer Guidelines and Platform Policies. “Pinterest” is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected in an updated date and, where appropriate, communicated through this website.
10. Contact
For privacy-related enquiries, please contact Marlowe & Moss through the messaging system on our Etsy shop at etsy.com/shop/MarloweMoss.
